Back! I am so happy about it, so lovely to be in a place that feels more and more like home all the time. I fared moderately as far as jet lag and spent the first couple of days seeing friends and getting situated for the new semester. I substituted institute which was very fun, got ready for classes, went to those classes and could not be more excited. I am taking a course called Scottish Literature, Imagination, and Faith and a course on Paradise Lost. On Saturday I went around to a bunch of Bronte’s favorite charity shops with her and Meg and got an fantastic coat. On Sunday I made dumplings with my flat mates which was so much fun. I also got called to be the second counselor in the stake young women’s presidency which is quite the surprise, a welcome one, but a surprise. I don’t know anything about young women’s, let alone the Stake version of that program. I suppose I will learn a lot! I have applied for a bunch of poetry masters programs in the past couple of days, but I wont hear back until March. I am more apprehensive than I would like because I really would love to get into a program. When I decided to do this, it was a crazy idea to see if it would work but now I am invested and nervous. The first few days I was back it was beautiful outside– cold but clear and sunny. The past few days, (and what feels like all the days ahead), however, have been cold and insanely windy (like 30mph!) and rainy. It makes it difficult to do everyday things, like walk ! There is also a crack in my window that the wind whistles through. One night it was so loud that it woke me up and I was genuinely frightened. We are so back!
